New York State Senator Roxanne Persaud is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, proactive individual to fill the role of a Constituent Services Liaison in their Brooklyn District Office. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for public service to work with an elected official whose agenda is focused on safer communities, affordable housing, funding for schools and libraries, supportive services for youth and seniors, and quality healthcare.

The Constituent Services Liaison is responsible for providing efficient constituent service, including advocacy, monitoring, and updating the Senator and Chief of Staff on district and local issues. Constituent casework is one of the essential functions of a Senate office. While a day in the life will vary, some of the primary responsibilities include :

• Attending community meetings and events to represent the Senator
• Resolving and managing constituent issues and responding to casework correspondence
• Interacting with government agencies, organizations, members of the community, and other elected officials
• Entering constituent requests into a database
• Maintaining up-to-date files on issues
• Assisting with office and community events

Ideal candidates will possess the following education, experience, and competencies :

Salary is $47,000 to $50,000, commensurate with education and experience. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to jobs@nysenate.gov.
