Job Overview :

  • Do you have an eagle eye for detail?
  • As a Quality Control / Packaging Specialist at Sport Designs & Graphics, in Effingham IL, you’ll be the final checkpoint before our products reach our customers.
  • Your role will be to ensure that every screen-printed and embroidered item meets our high-quality standards and is packaged perfectly for delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Inspect Finished Products : Carefully examine screen-printed items to ensure they meet our quality standards, checking for accuracy in design, color, and placement.

    • Count and Verify Orders :

  • Accurately count finished products to ensure orders are complete and ready for shipment.

    • Support Production :

  • Assist production workers by performing additional tasks, such as supplying materials, folding products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

    • Packaging :

  • Package products carefully and efficiently, ensuring that each item is ready for safe transport to customers.

    • Equipment Handling :

  • Utilize tools and equipment like hand trucks, packing tape dispensers and utility knives safely and efficiently to support quality control and packaging tasks.

    • Documentation :

  • Record inspection results and report any defects or issues to the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure corrective actions are taken.

    • Collaboration :

  • Communicate effectively with production manager and team members to ensure a smooth workflow and maintain high-quality standards.

    • Qualifications and Skills :

  • Experience : Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or packaging roles is preferred but not required.

    • Attention to Detail :

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify even the smallest imperfections.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Familiarity with basic tools and technologies, such as hand trucks and utility knives, and the ability to learn new equipment and processes.

    • Communication :

  • Strong verbal communication skills for effectively interacting with team members and supervisors.

    • Physical Stamina :

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require precision and focus.

    • Team Player :

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a commitment to quality.

    • Education :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not necessary.
