Your Role as Construction Scheduling Manager
Oversee and manage the scheduling of multiple construction projects, ensuring all schedules align with project goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive project schedules using MS Project.
- Establish project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
- Participate in all phases of construction planning and scheduling, review and approve project schedules, and adjust as needed.
- Assist pre-construction teams in developing durations and preliminary schedules.
- Collaborate on sequencing, methods of construction, delays, and recovery schedules.
- Develop and facilitate schedule training programs for internal team members.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and adherence to the master schedule.
- Provide guidance on best practices for resource allocation and schedule management.
- Act as the primary liaison for scheduling discussions between the company, clients, and stakeholders.
- Address schedule challenges, propose solutions, and mitigate risks.
- Monitor progress across active projects, maintain performance metrics, and provide regular reports.
- Conduct critical path analyses and develop work-around solutions.
- Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes and tools.
- Ensure schedules meet client requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).Minimum of 5 years in construction scheduling or project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Advanced proficiency in MS Project and other scheduling software like Procore.Strong understanding of construction means, methods, phases, and scheduling best practices.Exceptional leadership and communication skills focused on team collaboration.Ability to identify and address schedule challenges while managing multiple complex projects.Office and Travel
Indoor office environment with occasional site visits as required. Some overnight travel may be necessary.
