Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Greater Washington, D.C. area)

Assignment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Duration : 11 weeks

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day : 07 : 00 – 19 : 30, Night : 19 : 00 – 07 : 30); float between day and night shifts as needed

Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Every other weekend and holiday rotations as necessary

Unit : Intermediate Care (IMC), with float to ICU and Med Surg

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1610 - $1730

Scrubs : Ceil Blue (not provided)

Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in Intermediate Care, Cardiac Stepdown, or acute care nursing

Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at time of application)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (current and valid)

Proficient in cardiac telemetry, ventilator care, and central line management

Ability to float to ICU and Medical Surgical units as needed

Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred

Two (2) supervisor references required

First-time travel nurses welcome to apply

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and GI / GU diagnoses in the IMC / Stepdown unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and provide cardiac nursing support

Administer and monitor IV drips (non-titratable), blood products, and cardiac medications

Care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients, including high-flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management

Perform central and peripheral line care, wound care, and phlebotomy

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Float to ICU and Med Surg units as required by facility needs

Participate in rapid response / code teams and adhere to infection control and isolation precautions

Document all patient care accurately in the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system
