We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Carmichael, California. Responsibilities :
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Verify medical insurance information and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes.
- Assist with patient billing inquiries and payment processing.
- Utilize electronic practice management systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to support clinic operations and enhance patient care.
- Conduct reminder calls to confirm appointments and communicate any scheduling changes.
- Handle incoming calls in a high-volume call center environment, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Educate patients on clinic policies and procedures, ensuring they have the information needed for their visits.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months experience in an outpatient medical office setting or a high-volume customer service role.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and experience with computer systems, including standard office equipment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic practice management systems is preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience in patient scheduling, billing, and insurance verification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
