About Atomic Semi
Atomic Semi is building a small, fast semiconductor fabrication facility.
We aim to construct this with current technology and some simplifications, designing our own tools for rapid iteration and improvement.
Our team consists of exceptional, hands-on engineers across mechanical, electrical, hardware, computer, and process disciplines. We will manage the entire stack from atoms to architecture. Our team is optimistic about the future and committed to pushing technological boundaries.
We believe smaller and faster is better, and building our own tools is advantageous.
Our lab is equipped with 3D printers, microscopes, e-beam writers, fabrication equipment, and we are prepared to invent new tools as needed.
Founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller. Sam is known for chip fabrication in his garage, and Jim has over 40 years of leadership in the semiconductor industry.
About the role
As a Process Development Engineer, you will bridge BEOL processing and advanced packaging, developing integration schemes for next-generation semiconductor devices. You should have hands-on experience in interconnect metallization, dielectric processes, or chip-to-package connections, and be eager to explore beyond conventional methods. The role requires translating complex nanofabrication fundamentals into practical processes.
This is a high-ownership, autonomous role within a fast-paced startup. You will contribute to R&D processes and influence tool design. Candidates must have cleanroom experience and a history of developing nanofabrication recipes from scratch across multiple process steps.
