Job Description
The successful Director of Technical Accounting will :
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of technical accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
- Prepare and review technical memos and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the accounting impact of business transactions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters for internal teams.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and their implications for the organization.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Director of Technical Accounting should have :
A strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.MUST have prior experience working in technical accounting for a Big 4 public accounting firm.Expertise in technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.Proven ability to analyze and document complex accounting matters effectively.Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams and external auditors.A CPA qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred.Experience in the energy & natural resources industry is a plus.What's on Offer
