Position Summary

As a Body Shop Technician, you will play a key role in thoroughly repairing vehicle body damage in accordance with Swift Recon time specifications and standards. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to producing top-quality work.

What You'll Do

Perform complete disassembly of vehicles to assess damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan

Identify all needed repairs to minimize supplements and repair time

Remove and reinstall upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic systems, and trim as needed

Execute repairs as outlined on repair orders with precision and efficiency

Communicate with the production manager regarding changes to repair plans

Keep part carts organized to prevent damage and delays

Repair dents, weld broken parts, and ensure all fits meet body shop standards

Replace damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and reassemble after painting

Prepare repaired areas for refinishing by sanding and smoothing surfaces

Collaborate with team members and apprentices to maintain a positive work atmosphere

Follow all safety rules and hazardous waste disposal regulations

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Participate in scheduled team meetings and training opportunities

Take on other duties as needed to support the shop's success

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 5 year of related experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Willingness to learn new repair techniques and grow with the team

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
