Account Executive
KMBC-TV Channel 9 (ABC) and KCWE-TV Channel 29 (CW) in Kansas City, MO, are seeking an Account Executive. An Account Executive is responsible for selling advertising to local businesses and ad agencies, as well as soliciting new business to advertise on television and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Generate revenue across all available platforms
- Prospect, contact, and present to new businesses
- Develop new revenue through local business opportunities
- Build strategic and market-driven partnerships
- Manage an active client account list
- Conceptualize, create, and deliver sales proposals that align with station strategies
- Achieve individual sales goals while contributing to the success of the sales team
Requirements
1+ years of media, digital sales, or consultative / solutions-based selling experienceProven success in developing new or non-traditional businessStrong negotiation skillsExperience in a consultative, customer-focused environmentAbility to thrive in a goal-driven organization with accountabilityTeam player with a collaborative mindsetExperience selling directly to business ownersAbility to understand and apply qualitative research to support sales effortsRelated military experience will be consideredDiversity Statement
