Fabrication Operator I (7 am-7 pm)

FABRICATION OPERATOR ($18.25- $22.25 / hr)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

We are currently searching for a fabrication operator to be based in Weatherford, TX. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Fabrication Operator will run various machines and saws in the area. The primary role is to use the machines to bend pipe by loading pipe into the machine and / or connecting pipe to the bender part of the machine. It is the operator's job to keep an eye on specs and quality of the product.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior success as a Fabrication Operator or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING :

Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Runs various saws and machines in Fabrication
• Help load pipe into machine
• Stack finished product on pallets according to packaging standard
• Band up pallet when complete
• Check angle of pipe on angle table
• Cut boards to size for pipe packaging
• Has knowledge on safety procedures for each machine, E-Stops, pinch points, etc.
• Informs Shift Lead for any possible safety infractions
• Informs forklift personnel or Shift Lead when running low on Fab Stock to be cut
• Must check cut length frequently for any deviation in cut length specs
• Housekeeping a must throughout the shift

Qualifications

WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL :

Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work certification, is currently searching for a Fabrication Operator to be based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Fabrication Operator will run various machines and saws in the area. It is the operators job to keep an eye on specs and quality of the product. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.
