YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT
Some companies call them "Property Administrators," but at Prometheus our Affordable Housing Neighborhood Administrators do so much more. Our Affordable Housing Neighborhood Administrators focus on the Below Market Rate (BMR) administration in our Bay Area, California Portfolio and your role is a constant blend of :
- Financial & Administrative Management – Oversee key financial processes including rent collections, ledger reviews, invoice tracking, and final account statements. Ensure all administrative records are accurate, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Leasing & Resident Support – Partner with the leasing team to qualify future Neighbors by verifying applications, conducting credit investigations, and preparing lease documentation. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing resident questions on policies, charges, and general inquiries.
- Affordable Housing & Compliance Expertise – Serve as the team's go-to expert on affordable housing programs. Certify new BMR lease files, complete annual recertifications, and audit files to ensure compliance with governing agencies and current regulations.
- Reporting & Program Oversight – Prepare and deliver regular compliance reports to key stakeholders, including updates to regulated BMR pricing, audit results, identified compliance needs, and program improvements.
HERE'S MORE OF THE NITTY GRITTY
Your Experience - You have at least one year of experience administering affordable programs such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bond, HOME, HPTF, or other state or local programs.Property Management - You have working knowledge of eviction laws, Fair Housing mandates, and other legal issues affecting property management.Your Cultural Traits - Although we're a highly dispersed organization by the nature of our business, our Prometheans are strongly united by our Purpose, Mission and our Cultural Traits.
