Die Cut Operator

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate flatbed die cutter (Bobst, Iijima, Heidelberg, Sanwa, etc.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sets up feeder, feed table, lock dies, internal stripper, blanker section, and operates flatbed die cutter.
• Performs preventive maintenance, including minor repairs, adjusting / modifying dies, and the use of matrix when necessary.
• Uses pre-make-ready tables.
• Nicks and prepares dies.
• Levels the cutting by using different thickness spotting tapes.
• Performs quality checks, approvals, and in process inspections.
• Prepares loads, loads material, and removes loads of material from the machine.
• Maintains die inventory.
• Trains assistants.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
