Quality Assurance Manager

gpac is working with a well-established food manufacturer that is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for one of their facilies south of the Madison area of Wisconsin.

This company has been in business for 40 years and are growing significantly, adding a new position.

This position is ideal for someone who prefers to manage from the floor, not an office, and enjoys mentoring and developing personnel.

The ideal candidate holds :

• 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Computer skills, analytical, equipment and food-processing equipment knowledge.
• Knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry.
• Knowledge of quality process control and HACCP, SSOP and SOP.
• Knowledge of USDA and FDA standards.
• Experience with audits
• Good organizational and communication skills both verbally and written.
• Familiarity with organic, Kosher and Halal preferred
• PCQI certification preferred
• Food science background preferred
• Familiarity with inventory systems (DSI preferred)
• Familiarity with Capa forms
