Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and execute a broad range of Human Resources functions with a focus on organizational development, training and development, performance management, employee relations, talent acquisitions and onboarding, and compensation and benefits. This is an exempt position and reports to the CFO. It is based out of our Redmond, WA headquarters and is a fully in-office role. Our office is open from 6am-5pm; team members have flexibility with their daily work schedule, based on their needs and the needs of their team and the work.
Responsibilities
- Organizational Development : Support and champion a culture that embodies Sequoyah's Core Ideology (core purpose, vision, mission and values); provide support to the President and Senior Management in pursuit of successful implementation of company initiatives and business plan; identify opportunities for enhancement of company culture, employee relations and environment based on feedback; demonstrate leadership that inspires and motivates others; support company-wide community engagement efforts and relationship building; support university outreach program including teaching and promotional opportunities.
- Training and Development : Partner with Senior Management to identify and establish strategies for meeting training and development objective; work with internal SMEs to align training programs with key business objectives; oversee curriculum development and facilitate training in support of priorities (Safety, competencies, leadership, HR topics, etc.); coordinate content approval and identify participants; develop and implement an Employee Development Program including mentorship and coaching.
- Performance Management : Develop and implement performance management processes; educate managers on performance management and the progressive discipline system; assist with applying performance improvement policies and monitor PIP processes.
- Employee Relations : Design and implement recognition and engagement programs; address personnel concerns; ensure roles are clearly defined and documented; conduct HR investigations; maintain a living Employee Handbook; prevent discrimination; guide actions around terminations; administer annual reporting such as EEO-1 and AAP.
- Recruitment and Onboarding : Educate hiring managers on laws affecting hiring; ensure hiring decisions comply with local and federal laws; develop and lead onboarding and new hire orientation.
- Compensation And Benefits : Identify strategies to meet compensation and benefits goals; conduct market analysis and recommend salary ranges and benefits; lead employee education during benefits open enrollment.
Qualifications
The role requires 10+ years of HR-related experience, a bachelor's degree (preferably in Human Resources or a related field), and knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations. PHR or SPHR; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred. Additional qualifications include experience with HRIS and ATS software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Base pay range : $125,000.00 / yr - $150,000.00 / yr
