Insurance Specialist

A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist for a full-time remote position available to Michigan residents.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and verify the accuracy of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients

Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements prior to patient discharge

Resolve issues related to insurance accounts, including determining primary insurance and COB information

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing

Knowledge of various insurance coverage and processing procedures

Experience with insurance payor systems

EPIC training / experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred
