We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Indianapolis, IN! This position will report directly to the HR Manager, work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 – 4 : 30.
The starting pay is $24.00-$27.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do
Verify receipt and accuracy of all daily and weekly time records.Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy of payroll registers and journals.Balance total hours received with total hours entered into the payroll system and verify overtime rule calculations.Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and wage assignments / garnishments as neededDetermine and apply prevailing wage rates to hours worked where necessaryCollaborate with the HR Manager and Office Manager as needed, and perform other related duties as assigned in a team-oriented environment.What You Bring
High School diploma or equivalent experience required.5+ years of solid payroll experience, with strong fundamental payroll knowledge.Solid understanding of gross-to-net calculations and basic tax computation principles.QuickBooks and Foundation experience preferred.Experience with prevailing wages and certified payrolls is strongly preferred.Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software, and the ability to learn new applications quickly is required. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, ) is necessary for this position.Must be detail oriented and capable of multitasking.Strong time-management skills, able to meet strict deadlines; with the flexibility to work additional hours on short notice when necessary.TSW Utility Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
