Oversee reporting of the general ledger and finances of The Leonardo. Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables and ensures all bookkeeping is accurate in Quickbooks Online Support all staff with the PO process and other questions for finance Manage cashflow and recommends payments and vendor contracts to the Administrative Director Ensure compliance with all internal controls Interface with The Leonardo's HR company on payroll, 401k and other items Interface with department managers on budgets, B2A's and annual budget planning Interface with The Leonardo's contracted CPA to review month-end reports, Board reports, etc Ensure vendor communications and payments are timely and accurate Generate reports of museum activities, of current and proposed financial plans. Administers the Finance department in preparing financial reports for management, including balance sheets and income statements on a combined and departmental basis, both on a monthly and year to date basis. Monitors the budget vs. actual results and investigates and reports on material variances to management Oversee the collection of contributions owed the museum, the payment of vendors for services, and maintains control of museum cash Audit support : Will have significant responsibility in the annual audit. Expected to work with the outside audit manager by providing schedules and reconciliations of accounts and transactions as requested. Oversees 1099 payments and oversight as well as fulfillment annually Support the Hospitality Department with payment coordination as necessary Track and measure other KPIs Additional responsibilities as needed Education : Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or related degree required; or equivalent knowledge and experience. Experience : Minimum of 3 years of non-profit accounting experience Systems : Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel. Strong typing skills. Competencies : Strong knowledge of non-profit and general accounting best practices and compliance practices, procedures, and requirements. Able to draft financial statements for management, and the Board of Directorsand its Finance committee. Detail oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and follow through in an accurate and timely manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills; Fluent in English. High integrity and professionalism, able to keep discretion and confidentiality surrounding sensitive information. Positive, friendly, and customer-service-oriented working style. Must work well under pressure, self-motivated to work on an individual basis with limited supervision, and work in a team environment supporting the mission of The Leonardo.

FINANCE MANAGER
The Leonardo seeks a Finance Manager to join our team and mission to fuse science, technology, and art in experiences that inspire creativity and innovation in people of all ages and backgrounds.
Summary
The Finance Manager plays a critical role at The Leonardo, supervising the day-to-day general accounting functions and accounting operations of the museum which includes the receiving and disbursing of cash, recording of revenue, review and follow up on accounts receivable and accounts payable and compilation of data for financial reporting and operational and management accounting reports. This position has a primary responsibility to protect assets, meet reporting requirements, provide timely, meaningful reporting of operations, and effectively plan for and account for the financial needs of the museum. The position also interfaces with many internal and external stakeholders, so a positive and professional attitude is required.
- Pay Rate : $50,000 to $60,000
- Schedule : Full-time | Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
- Reports to : Director of Administration
