Administrative Assistant
We're seeking highly motivated, reliable, and skilled professionals to join the City of Mountain View as Administrative Assistants. This role is part of a dynamic team within the Public Works Department, providing vital support to departmental initiatives, office reception, and customer service for both staff and the community.
As an Administrative Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a wide variety of responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to the department's success. This is the journey-level classification in the Administrative Assistant series. The current recruitment will fill two full-time vacancies in the Public Works Department and one part-time (.50 FTE) vacancy in the Mountain View Police Department. It will also establish an eligibility list for future vacancies within the City.
What You'll Do :
- Answer phones and in-person customer questions.
- Maintaining and ordering supplies for the office.
- Invoice processing and routing.
- Creating and keeping files organized for supervisors and assigned personnel.
- Responding to public records requests.
The Essentials :
Two years of increasingly responsible clerical and administrative office support experience.Education equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade.Bonus Points :
