JOB SUMMARY
The Security Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the security personnel and operations for the institution. The position is responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and assets. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, training, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and coordination with university police to maintain a secure environment.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of stated degree requirement
5 years or more of Security Management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of healthcare security best practices, regulatory requirements, and emergency response planning
Preferred
CHPA - Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator certification is a plus
