Position Overview :

A Lead Pharmacy Technician maintains a strong foundation in pharmacy calculations, pharmacology, health-system pharmacy operations, pharmacy law, and effective communication. This role performs pharmacy-related functions under the supervision of a pharmacist and in compliance with departmental policies and procedures to ensure safe and optimal pharmaceutical care. In addition, the Pharmacy Technician II supports the Director of Pharmacy in maintaining staff competencies and ensuring the pharmacy remains current and compliant with USP standards (797, 800).
