Preconstruction Engineer - Schneider Electric Return to Work Program

We are excited to partner with Schneider Electric for a 6-month return-to-work program starting in March 2025.

Responsibilities

What You'll Contribute Day-to-Day :

• Develop turnkey estimates for Building Automation projects
• Prioritize projects / tasks to meet sales schedules
• Review customer specifications / drawings for technical compatibility and competitiveness
• Understand, analyze, and communicate technical terms and conditions according to company standards
• Coordinate and verify subcontractor quotations and scopes of work
• Develop detailed scope letters and system designs
• Attend and run pre-bid meetings and site walk-throughs
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and sales teams to lower costs
• Reconcile final job costs after review meetings
• Support sales calls as needed
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Ensure smooth project turnover to operations
• Support vendor scopes, pricing, and reporting; cross-train as needed
• Complete technical training to enhance skills
• Coach and mentor new employees
• Act as local liaison to the branch business, attending relevant meetings
• Gather feedback for continuous improvement
