Role Overview
As a Regional Technology Leader, you serve as a hands-on technical expert and trusted advisor, supporting Cortland's community infrastructure and end-user devices while driving technology best practices across your region. With a strong presence in the field, you lead service delivery, resolve complex issues, and ensure seamless communication between local teams and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an onsite presence at Cortland's communities 75% of the time
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for multiple Corland community and enterprise infrastructure technologies
- Deliver technology project tasks on schedule, in scope, and within established quality guidelines
- Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware and software to ensure optimal workstation performance
- Maintain technical competence through self-study, provided trainings, and attending meetings that provide updated information about the current computing environment
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for community technology within your region
- Keep executive leadership in your region informed through a combination of reporting and personal interaction
- Exhibit proficiency in documenting systems, setups, and procedures
- Manage and coordinate service delivery utilizing third-party vendors
- Demonstrate tact, discretion, and good judgment required for dealing with confidential information
- Perform technology due diligence and make recommendations to standardize existing community technology
- Field requests for technical assistance, record them in a ticketing system, and resolve issues in accordance with Service Level Agreements and departmental expectations
- Troubleshoot problems with local and network printers and print queues; fix problems with server hardware and phone system
- Collaborate effectively with team members to identify problems and work toward solutions
Qualifications
Strong 2+ years of experience in an information technology role; experience working as part of a project team or in the multifamily industry a plusBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related major, or equivalent experienceStellar analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsSuperb customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Linux applicationsDemonstrated experience installing Cat 6 cables, installing patch panels, and associated networking equipmentIn-depth knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11 and Mac OSX operating systemsA+, Network+, MCDST, Dell, Apple, and other related certifications preferredAbout Cortland
