Position reports directly to the Chief of Staff to the Chancellor and operates at the Chancellor's Residence, Quail Hill. The position works in concert with and supports the Chancellor, the Special Events Office, the University Development Events Office teams, and related University departments (e.g., UNC Facilities Services, Movers). It also collaborates with on-site Grounds and Landscaping managers.
The House Manager possesses strong communication skills, is attentive to detail, observant, and capable of anticipating the needs of the property, Chancellor, and guests. The role requires problem-solving abilities, energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships. The House Manager ensures that all aspects of the household are maintained, with an emphasis on preparation for events, visitors, and overnight guests. Responsibilities include performing housekeeping duties, managing facility projects, and supporting special events at the residence as needed.
