Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital Care for a diverse emergency and trauma patient population in a Level 1 Trauma setting Schedule is 11 : 00AM-11 : 00PM with three 12-hour shifts per week Two 13-hour call shifts are required per 6-week period, with expectation of onsite arrival within one hour A two-week night rotation is required for all travelers Uses the EPIC electronic medical record system Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and modifies care based on ongoing evaluation Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation Ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to safety protocols and promptly addressing or reporting hazards Works collaboratively with staff, families, and providers to deliver patient-centered emergency care Provides feedback and professional support to peers as part of a collaborative team environment RTO may not exceed 7 days during a 13-week contract Travel partners are not accepted for this position Returning travelers may not exceed twelve months of continuous service and will require a six-month break before being eligible to return Requirements Active IL RN license in good standing; temp license accepted BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association) Minimum one year of relevant ED nursing experience required, with three years strongly preferred Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma setting required EPIC charting experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Must reside more than 50 miles from facility (no local candidates accepted) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618658.
