POSITION SUMMARY
The Community & Art Education Coordinator administers PAFA's school, youth, and community engagement programs throughout the academic year and summer. This position serves as a key connector between the museum, classrooms, and neighborhood art programs-bringing art to life for students, families, and visitors of all backgrounds.
Reporting jointly to the departments of Community Education and Engagement and Visitor Services, this position coordinates program logistics, teaching artist coordination, and relationships with schools and partner organizations. The role also runs PAFA's Summer Camp, Summer Academy, and youth programs, ensuring these initiatives are dynamic, inclusive, and artistically enriching.
This position is considered full-time, although the typical work week averages 30-32 hours, with occasional evening and weekend commitments during key program periods.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring art educator or retired K-12 teacher who is passionate about art, community learning, and inspiring the next generation of artists.

QUALIFICATIONS
WORKING WITH MINORS
All staff working with minors must complete PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Background Check, and PA Criminal Background Check, along with Vector Solutions training. Applicants with current clearances will receive priority consideration.
