Job Description

As a Security Professional Unarmed Transportation Patrol Officer in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a transportation-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a positive atmosphere for everyone on site. You will interact with the public and staff, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with your team. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the transportation environment.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal policies and client requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Baton certification, handcuffing certification, and pepper spray certification are preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
