Senior Director, Business Development, Neuroscience Acquisitions
Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Senior Director, Neuroscience Acquisitions to join our Innovative Medicine Business Development team, located in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Senior Director, Neuroscience Acquisitions, will be a key member of the J&J Innovative Medicine Business Development team, partnering closely with the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area to identify and deliver robust M&A analysis and execution. Specifically, this role will lead Neuroscience M&A efforts, functioning as our Neuroscience landscape expert, including conducting competitive analysis, identifying strategic M&A targets, and leading assessment and ultimately execution of critical acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities :
- Function as resident expert on the Neuroscience M&A landscape, including developing robust knowledge of the therapeutic area / competitive space, in order to guide team on most attractive Neuroscience M&A acquisition targets. This includes regular, timely insights into areas of strategic focus across range of diseases, indications, targets, and modalities.
- Champion, lead, and develop strategies / tactics for acquiring Neuroscience companies that provide growth, diversification, and / or innovation
- Lead M&A evaluation and execution, including overall deal leadership from project initiation through execution and integration. This includes leadership of business case development, corporate diligences, deal strategy / negotiations, integration proposals / assessments, overall communication plans, as well as development of critical internal materials
- Development of robust and compelling presentation materials for senior leadership, turning detailed analytics into thorough, comprehensive M&A target recommendations; strong communication skills will be critical to success in this capacity
- Present internally championed acquisition assessments to senior leadership
- Partner with internal cross functional and external Neuroscience therapeutic area teams, including developing a range of relationships with external environment. Notably, this role will function as our Neuroscience point of contact for our many critical bank and other external relationships, including target companies.
- Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate, filter, and prioritize opportunities
- Regularly maintain robust, up-to-date view on external environment, market dynamics, and other key metrics relative to Neuroscience M&A environment
- Adhoc support for wide variety of business development initiatives, including support of other therapeutic areas, as needed.
Qualifications :
BA / BS minimum requirement; MBA preferredMinimum of 10 years of relevant business experience requiredHealthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is requiredExperience in M&A and / or licensing is preferredExperience with business analytics preferredMarketing and / or finance experience preferredExcellent project management, communication, and presentation skills are required.Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in cross-functional teamsExperience in communicating and influencing a broad variety of business leaders, both internally and externally and with varying levels from functional personnel to senior leadersThis role may require some travel (up to 20% domestic and international travel)The anticipated base salary for this role : $173,000-$299,000
