H2M architects + engineers , a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm seeks a Senior (Licensed) Project Water Resources Engineer with 8 to 15 years of experience to work in our Water Resources team out of our Melville, NY office.

Drinking water professionals wanted. Emerging contaminants have become a great concern for our public water supply. H2M's water group has been a leader in the development and deployment of some of the Nations most advanced technologies into a suite of existing processes for our water clients. Our diverse project type will give professionals with strong project management skills access to treatment, distribution, and storage capital project types along with managerial, funding, rate structure, optimization, and preventative maintenance programs. The H2M water project manager will shepherd projects from inception to commissioning allowing them to see the entire life cycle of a project and take pride in seeing it completed. Come join our multi-disciplined team of hydrogeologists and environmental scientists! We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer / Manager with 8 - 15 years' experience, who has a background with Project and Client Management. In this role, you will work alongside other engineers developing and executing water design work for both public and private clients. You will also coordinate the efforts of internal specialists teams that handle architectural, structural, coatings and electrical / control elements specifically for the water industry.

Job Responsibilities :

• Drinking water projects include source of supply, treatment, storage, and distribution projects
• Preparing project proposals, schedules, and budgets for capital projects
• Activities include planning, design, permitting, bid services, construction services, and commissioning
• Lead efforts in infrastructure planning and design for individual water projects
• Coordinate with other technical divisions within the firm (and external) and subcontractors / advisors
• Prepare / deliver permit applications as required from various local, State, and Federal agencies
• Assist clients in private and public bidding procedures
• Supervise construction observation efforts
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff
• Participate in firm outreach to technical societies and trade organizations
• Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
• Be involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews

Education and Qualifications :

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
