Support the LACE Merchandising department to achieve company goals which includes but is not limited to product management, product development, negotiation and trading negotiation, assortment optimization, supplier development, Sysco brand strategy, supplier negotiation and sourcing, market price analysis, and local sales conversions. Responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of corporate strategies in Center of the Plate Categories and initiatives within the LACE region and the operating sites (OpSite). Supports operating sites sales staff with product assortment updates, informational inquiries and delivery of product, drive operating site required category initiatives and assortment in harmony with corporate requirements. Executes recommended assortment changes and support positive local supplier relationships. This role reports directly to the Director of International Merchandising (LACE).
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for product pricing and supply negotiation and trading
Manage and promote local assortment within assigned categories to achieve company goals
Provide input, support, and guidance to operation site Sales and Merchandising Specialists
Communicate with planners / suppliers / brokers / sales team / customer service
Drive results on focus categories and support promotional activities and selling events
Drive increased Sysco Brand sales
Work with LACE Strategic Sourcing to secure source of supply and competitive pricing
Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions
Experience :
3+ years of experience in product management (Proteins)
Experience Preferred :
Category Management in Center of the Plate Categories
