Audubon is currently seeking a Senior API 653 Specialist to join our team in our Bakersfield, CA. The Senior API 653 Specialist will work and report directly to the client site daily. In this role, the Senior API 653 Specialist will be responsible for reviewing tank inspection data reports, construction drawings, managing the inspection schedule, creating recommendations and managing the follow-up inspections per API recommended practices. The candidate shall be experienced in knowledgeable with various aspects of aboveground storage tanks, including inspection, repairs recommendations, Quality control over repair contractors, coatings, and welding inspection. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company and Customer safety standards and procedures
• Reports to work location in Bakersfield, CA. Overnight travel is not expected.
• Manages the Storage Tank Inspection Program.
• Conduct API inspections on storage tanks within facilities and terminals.
• Willingness to maintain API certifications and ongoing development.
• Able to manage projects and personnel successfully.
• Program development; key team member in continual improvement of service program to include improvement support of procedures and work instructions.
• Ensures quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
• Read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Assist other technicians in the field, as necessary.
• Strong knowledge of applicable storage tank design and inspection codes / standards.
• Able to perform basic calculations pertaining to remaining life, next inspection date, retirement date.
• Supports and solicits input and feedback from team members and client at all levels within the organization
• Works safely and completes all company and client safety documentation
• Assisting data group with QA / QC of report deliverables on assigned projects. Preferred experience with Inspection data management systems.

Pay Range :

$55.00 USD - $70.00 USD
