Job Title : Project Controls Lead I, II, or III
Location : Spring, TX
Schedule : Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week | OT as needed (Pre-Approval Required)
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Project Controls Leads (Levels I–III) to support a large portfolio of projects. The successful candidates will provide leadership in cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, and change management while ensuring alignment with corporate standards and capital efficiency goals.
Candidates must be able to manage 50–100 projects concurrently , bringing strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. This position requires an engineering degree , 5–15 years of relevant project-controls experience , and prior oil & gas exposure .
Main Functions
- Provide overall project cost, schedule, progress measurement, and change-management leadership .
- Develop and steward Project Controls Plans , Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) , budgets, and schedules.
- Support project teams with forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly stewardship reporting.
- Lead preparation and maintenance of control budgets (OCB / CCB), cost forecasts, and project master schedules.
- Coordinate development of cost and schedule estimates for gate reviews and funding milestones.
- Facilitate Management of Change (MOC) and Capital Efficiency processes.
- Ensure contractors implement effective cost and schedule control measures; review and endorse baselines, forecasts, and progress trends.
- Mentor and provide feedback to Project Controls Engineers and Planners.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project tools for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required).5–15 years of project-controls experience (cost and schedule focus).Proven ability to manage large portfolios (50–100 active projects).Prior Project Controls Engineer or equivalent experience required.Oil & Gas experience mandatorySupervisory experience leading cross-functional teams.Strong analytical, consulting, mentoring, and computing skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Adaptable, collaborative, and capable of delivering under tight deadlines.Candidate Profile
