Job Summary : The AMSTI Materials Worker assists with the daily operation of the materials center. Constructs and refurbishes science and math teaching kits per the specifications of AMSTI-UA and AMSTI-SDE. Assists with inventory control through stocking kits and kit supplies, maintaining stock, and rotating stock. Assists with and maintains the organization of the materials center to ensure efficient use of space and safe storage of materials. Maintains a safe work environment.
Required Minimum Qualifications : High school diploma or GED
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications : Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job.
Skills and Knowledge : Ability to operate IHE-owned motor vehicles while complying with safety codes, state and federal traffic rules, regulations, and safe operating practices. Proficient in the use of standard office software including email. Demonstrated competence in verbal and written communication. Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience with project management software. Forklift experience.
