La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Child & Family Therapist for the Pediatric Psychology department in Chicago, IL.

Job Summary :

Functions in an independent and professional manner to provide high-quality, trauma-informed behavioral health services to outpatient clients and their families.

Essential Child & Family Therapist Functions :

• Provides short-term and long-term evidence-based behavioral health services to patients and their families, including individual, family, and group therapy
• Provides behavioral health consultation services in clinics within an integrated health model, for a minimum of 8 hours per week
• Provides care for patients with presenting symptoms such as behavioral problems, trauma exposure and symptomology, school and learning problems, attention problems, anxiety, depression, as well as others
• Has training in and can implement behavioral health interventions such as individual psychotherapy, behavior modification techniques, trauma therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Expectations are that 45% of time is in therapy with a minimum of 20 patients (short-term / long-term) scheduled per week
• Conducts clinical intake assessments and appropriate diagnoses. Issues and scores scales and measures to evaluate functioning and for diagnostic clarification
• Provides case management and advocacy
• Consults and collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team to ensure services are integrated into the patient’s treatment
• Maintains required job skills, professional competencies, current licensure, certification, and ongoing education required of the job, as applicable
• Supports the hospital mission, and observes hospital core job values with respect to Service Excellence Standards, work quality, productivity, teamwork, and initiative
• Demonstrates safe and proper usage of machinery / equipment, as applicable
• Demonstrates additional department-specific areas of competency as defined annually

Compensation Information :

Pay Range : $74,000 - $80,000
