Consulting Member Of Technical Staff - TSO at Oracle. We are facing several engineering challenges in critical foundational data-plane services that power the next gen OCI cloud. We need you to challenge existing engineering assumptions and boundaries, bringing your expertise in highly performant, reliable, available system engineering to take OCI data-planes to the next level.

This is your opportunity to build innovative solutions for our customers from the ground up, including canonical implementation of core components for data planes through a data-plane runtime framework, developing a remote storage solution with latency and performance comparable to local NVMe drive, and developing standard tooling to identify critical performance improvements across OCI data-planes.

Responsibilities

• Envision and drive software design and development for new major data-plane components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, collaborating with executives for investment and defining the foundations for the next generation of OCI data-planes.
• Define standard practices and procedures; perform software development tasks including designing, debugging, and implementing software applications or operating systems.
• Work with Engineering Managers and TPMs; provide direct guidance to junior team members.
• High-level system design to hands-on prototyping, code reviews, and project bootstrapping; balance speed and quality with iterative improvements.
• Automate and instrument services to improve processes and service quality; instill a culture of operational excellence and customer focus.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams for continuous growth and high-impact results; collaborate with architects and cross-functional partners to deliver features on time and with high quality.
• Demonstrate expertise in distributed systems, networking, storage, performance optimization, and cloud infrastructure design.

Qualifications

US : Hiring Range in USD from $96,800 to $251,600 per year; may be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
