Role Description
The Manager of Talent Acquisition & Training will lead the company's efforts to attract, onboard, and develop top talent across all sites. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution—owning full-cycle recruiting (excluding executive searches), shaping a consistent onboarding experience, and building a scalable leadership and skills development framework. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for developing and conducting training programs to foster employee growth and development. This is a builder role : it starts as a one-person department with the opportunity to hire and lead a team as the function scales.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Own full-cycle recruiting for all roles except executive; prioritize quality of hire and cultural fit
- Partner with site leaders and hiring managers to craft accurate role scopes, profiles, and interview plans
- Build proactive pipelines (referrals, community programs, colleges, veterans, skilled trades networks)
- Strengthen employer brand (careers page, job ads, social channels) to attract high-caliber candidates
- Establish recruiting metrics and rhythms : time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, 90-day retention, quality-of-hire
Onboarding & Training
Own the onboarding framework and tools; drive a consistent, engaging experience across all sitesRun an annual training needs analysis with site leaders; prioritize leadership, professional, and skills trainingWork with site managers and trainers to design and develop the training architecture (catalog, curricula, LMS / vendor selection, budget) and manage implementationCoordinate internal / external trainers; ensure delivery quality and track completion and impactMeasure training effectiveness (Kirkpatrick-style outcomes, post-training performance, promotion readiness, etc.)Strategy & Team Building :
Create a multi-year roadmap to scale recruiting and learning functions aligned to company growthAct as a working manager while building the business case to hire specialists (recruiters, L&D coordinator, LMS admin)Partner with leadership to align talent plans with workforce planning, succession, and culture initiativesQualifications
7+ years in recruiting or talent management in an industrial application, including hands-on full-cycle recruitingExperience in full-life cycle recruiting and hiringSkills in employer branding and recruitingAbility to conduct thorough and effective interviewsStrong communication and organizational skillsProven experience in developing and implementing training programsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience in the manufacturing industry is a plusAbility to work collaboratively with various departments and management levelsCompensation
The position offers a competitive annual base salary ranging from $100k to $120k.
Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance the overall total compensation package when Atlantic Track and its business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
