Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical Position Summary\n\nProvides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.\n\nEssential Functions Additional Information\n\nPatient Populations Served : Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.\n\nExposure : Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.\n\nPhysical Requirements : Frequent standing, walking, lifting / moving patients, and repetitive hand / arm movements.\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\n\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and / or abilities required.\n\nEducation : Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.\n\nLicense : / Certifications : Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.\n\nLifepoint Health is a leader in community-based care and driven by a mission of Making Communities Healthier.
