Pipeline And Terminal Operations

This role will manage the Energy Transfer operations work force as well as contractors and vendors to ensure the day-to-day rail terminal operations are executed in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure conformance with Energy Transfer policies and procedures, and the Principles of Operational Safety. Key focus is safety, environment, performance and exceeding our customers' expectations.

• Safe and efficient operations of assets protecting employees, the public, the environment, company assets and customers' assets.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure conformance with all company policies, procedures, and principles of operational safety.
• Perform daily safety briefing at the beginning of each shift.
• Issue daily job assignments to direct reports.
• Monitor and ensure assigned job tasks are completed safely and in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform required trainings : safety, procedure, and policy to all applicable staff.
• Manage the daily terminal operations to include but not limited to; lact operation and troubleshooting, tank inventory management, yard switches, railcar movement, ensuring railcar outage and weight limits are not exceeded, railcar securement, regulatory compliance, training, work schedules, time keeping, inventories, track, switch, facility and equipment inspections and maintenance, and the safe loading and transportation of railcars.
• Communicate with terminal, maintenance, office staff, and third-party contractors regarding daily work assignments.
• Communicate with customers and associated representatives to provide coordination and information for inquiries regarding products and services.
• Coordinate product deliveries and departures with outside carriers.
• Manage and supervise third-party contractors and vendors performing construction, maintenance, and / or operations services.
• Create and issue work orders for maintenance activities and third-party contractors.
• Perform quality control and performance audits ensuring all applicable regulations are met and procedures are followed.
• Ensure all required inspections and documentations are completed in a timely manner, are accurate and legible.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility, loading equipment, work areas, and facility buildings.
• Evaluate goals and performance of direct reports.
• Communicate with leadership and HR and assist in the issuing of disciplinary and / or corrective actions.
• Assist in the interviewing / hiring process of potential new hire applicants.
• Identify, report, and correct any safety and environmental concerns per company policy and procedures.
• May be required to load railcars and make train movements to ensure the timely and safe completion of required rail / facility operations.
• Perform other duties and special projects assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.

Previous supervisory experience

Previous experience with bulk liquid transportation and storage

Knowledge of CFR-DOT regulations pertaining to shipment of hazardous materials

Knowledge of transloading, rail terminal, railcar mover / locomotives

Knowledge of AAR and FRA standards, policies, and regulations
