Quality Assurance Manager
Read, understand, and analyze the Project Contract in terms of Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC). Provide the Contract QA / QC requirements to the Project Team and support Internal and External Kick-Off meetings to ensure that all contract specific requirements are transmitted to all stakeholders. Define the project-specific processes and documents per contract and customer quality requirements. Consolidate lessons learned from projects in order to make them actionable to prevent issues. Develop and issue the Project Quality Plan. Ensure all product compliance requirements are properly addressed in the quality package. Implement, support, and monitor compliance with business processes and tools. Prepare and coordinate with customer and supply chain quality inspections as per ITP. Ensure execution as per GE requirements (valid documents and control plan). Ensure quality records are created as required. Ensure the execution of the process from Red Mark to As-Build documentation. Coordinate processes related to quality and growth initiatives, including traditional Quality and Six Sigma (DMAIC and Lean), working with the assigned project team and commercial bid managers. Lead the overall quality strategy and execution plan for assigned projects and tendering opportunities. Own quality deliverables and KPIs for assigned projects, working with the project team to meet deadlines and deliver under budget. Work with the project team and the customer-specific engineering teams on execution. Recognize potential shortfalls in design processes and develop corrective actions to reduce defects. This includes CoPQ reduction actions as well as monitoring and auditing for effectiveness. Perform RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) and execute corrective actions. Manage key customer technical quality issues. Interface with internal and external team members, including end customers. Coordinate lessons learned sharing and implementation for assigned projects and tendering opportunities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related. Three (3) years of experience in quality engineering, business systems analysis, or a combination thereof. Work experience to include : Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for supplier and customer issues; Project Management within a matrix environment; Supplier Management Processes; Lean principles and tools to include : value stream mapping, 5S, problem solving, or continual improvement; Data analysis using dashboards or visualizations; and Process change analysis to enable implementation of data collection tools within an existing process. 100% remote position reporting to GE Renewables Grid LLC in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Candidate may live anywhere in the continental U.S. Approximately 15% domestic and 15% international travel to visit GEV sites, meet with quality / lean team members, and provide support for various quality and lean projects. Travel expenses paid by employer.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $104,000-$145,000 annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 10% variable incentive compensation.
