We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our progressive Manufacturing team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our facilities, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence. The EHS Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all EHS programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and procedures, aligning with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS standards and identify potential hazards.
3. Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
4. Provide training and education to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
5. Develop and maintain accurate documentation related to EHS matters, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory submissions.
6. Collaborate with management and staff to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
7. Monitor emerging trends and legislation in EHS, ensuring that the company is prepared for future regulatory changes.
8. Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, representing the company in all EHS matters.
9. Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through strategic planning and performance metrics.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification would be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards at local, state, and federal levels.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective EHS programs.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage others in EHS initiatives.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proficient in the use of EHS management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential hazards.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
