Overview

Konikoff Dental Associates is looking for a Dental Assistant  in Virginia Beach, VA  to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Hours : Mon 8-6, Tue 8-5, Thur 8-5, Fri 8-5 Sat 8-12

Position Overview : As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support : Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care : Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics : Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety : Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

    • Qualifications

    Qualifications :

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program

    • and

  • 1yr or more of on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
  • X-Ray certification
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
