Transportation Manager
Our client is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Transportation Manager to lead the daily operations of our Transportation Department. Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all transportation operations within Anderson County, ensuring seamless service delivery across a six-day week.
- Develop and manage efficient route schedules that maximize timeliness and resource utilization.
- Supervise and mentor drivers, fostering a safety-oriented culture and ensuring adherence to all safety and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records, service schedules, and departmental documentation.
- Coordinate staffing needs, including managing on-call coverage and ensuring adequate personnel are scheduled for all shifts.
- Implement and lead safety and accident prevention programs to promote a secure environment.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as on-time pickups and drop-offs, addressing any service gaps.
- Ensure compliance with all agency policies, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in transportation or a similar role.Valid South Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record.Completion of agency-mandated training (PASS, Defensive Driving) within one month of hire.First aid certification within one year of employment.Ability to pass drug / alcohol testing and a physical exam prior to employment.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.What We Offer :
