Schedule Shifts consist of 5x8 hour schedules with potential negotiation for a maximum of 4-10 hour shifts. There is no rotating shift schedule, and the position includes 2-3 on-call shifts per month along with at least 1 holiday assignment. Job Description The Interventional Radiology Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality radiologic images while exhibiting competence in patient care and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires experience in interventional radiology, specifically with a focus on neuroscience and neurosurgery. Responsibilities Selects appropriate exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic quality radiologic images. Works collaboratively with department members to efficiently resolve issues. Demonstrates flexibility, compassion, and respect when interacting with patients and colleagues. Administers oral contrast as necessary for exams and prepares patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Assists the Radiologist during procedures while operating x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems proficiently. Reports any equipment malfunctions to the manager or lead and participates in clerical duties as needed. Maintains medication security within the department, ensuring access is limited to authorized personnel. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Two (2) years of experience in radiology, preferably in interventional radiology. Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of New York. BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Experience in neurosurgery / neuroscience is required.
