A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required
• 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with patient ratios of 5-7 : 1
• May be floated to other medical surgical departments
• Work with vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Perform medication administration including IVs, PICC lines, and PEG tube administration
• Conduct bladder scans, tracheostomy care, tube feeding, Foley catheter care, and bladder irrigation
• Administer blood products
• Navy blue or white solid scrubs required
• Medical / surgical or PCU experience required
• BLS certification and Virginia nursing license required
• Rehabilitation experience preferred
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiatrist, physician assistant, and neuropsychologist
