Document collection activities and maintain updated customer records. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies. Escalate delinquent accounts when necessary. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounting and / or collections. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Accounting & Collections Specialist
Location : Hybrid in Miamisburg, OH (Tuesday and Thursday in office) Pay : $25 / hr Position Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting & Collections Specialist to support our finance operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely collections, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal financial policies.
- Provide support for ad hoc projects and requests as needed.
