Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to read, navigate, and analyze architectural construction drawings and shop drawings
- 1+ year of experience in the Construction / Engineering Services industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Suite products
- Engineering Degree required (Mechanical / Civil preferred)
- Understanding of CAD programs (Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred)
- Previous construction experience required
Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to work directly with Senior Project managers in all aspects of the project lifecycle, and will be working regularly with Building Owners, Owners Reps, Construction Managers, General Contractors, Trade Subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Quantity Takeoffs and document data in a clear and effective mannerGenerate Project Budgets to be presented to management and clientsGenerate Project Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to be issued to potential project suppliersManage RFP processes and generate leveling spreadsheets to compare biddersGenerate Project Schedules to project all phases of the project timelineGenerate Cash Flow projections for clientsOversee and manage drafting team through Shop Drawings and Fabrication TicketingReview and Approve Shop Drawings and Fabrication Tickets prior to fabricationManage production schedules with suppliers and regularly report on progress to clientsManage material shipments and be able to report regularly to clientsCoordinate with Construction Managers, General Contractors, Owners, Other Trade ContractorsExpected to travel 1 day per week to New York City or surrounding areaPeriodic domestic and international travel 2 – 3 weeks per yearCompensation :
$60,000 to $85,000 per year annual salary.
