Senior Database Administrator

What you can expect

As a Database Administrator at Zoom, you will ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. In this way, you will be playing a key role in planning, developing, and troubleshooting to support seamless operations and data-driven decisions.

About the Team

You will work closely with other DBAs, DevOps and engineers to ensure database systems are running stably, efficiently and securely. The role requires a deep understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and best practices. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with problem-solving skills, is essential. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with cutting-edge technologies and to contribute to the success of mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining MySQL database servers
• Managing and supporting mission critical replicated database environments
• Monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting database performance and issues
• Participating in database design, deployment, maintenance, upgrade, and patching, etc
• Supporting DevOps and Service Engineers on database related works and issues
• Proposing and enforcing architectural governance, database standards and best practices
• Supporting NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB
• Participating in team on-call and deployment rotation

What we're looking for

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range or On Target Earnings :

Minimum : $98,900.00

Maximum : $228,700.00

In addition to the base salary and / or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note : Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
