Position Summary :

The Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator is responsible for supporting the authorization process for CHC Providers, ensuring accurate data entry in the Utilization Module, and assisting with requests for services and treatments that do not require clinical decision-making. This role manages the entry of admission notifications, transfers, and requests for home health services and durable medical equipment. The UM Coordinator also screens documents and fields phone calls to identify key information for clinical staff and Medical Directors, supporting timely and informed medical decisions in alignment with CHC guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Enter admission notifications, transfers, home health, and durable medical equipment requests into the Utilization Module.
• Assist CHC Providers with authorization processes and ensure accurate data entry.
• Review and screen documents for critical information needed by clinical staff and Medical Directors.
• Handle incoming phone calls, gather information, and provide professional support.
• Support adherence to regulatory timelines and CHC guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with providers and internal teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Utilization Management department.
