Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Position Overview :
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for corporate-wide information technology. This role is pivotal to enabling growth, operational efficiency and digital customer engagement across diverse business units, each with their own unique information technology business application structures.
The CIO leads a "shared services" model for Infrastructure, Security Operations, Off-shore resource management and shared application platforms for e-commerce, online product configuration, enterprise integration and plant floor job management.
The role sponsors large enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, leads technology governance across the organization, supports M&A activity and manages both directly and indirectly all Taylor technology personnel.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership, Alignment & Collaboration :
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop IT leadership across the enterprise.
- Partner with business unit Presidents and IT leaders to balance investment, innovation and governance.
- Align technical services for enterprise and business unit transformations and customer account migrations.
- Provide leadership for the emerging corporate enterprise architecture function and review board. This includes standards, governance, legacy system rationalization, tool selection and Master Data Management (MDM).
- Co-lead Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee with a watchful eye toward security, compliance and data governance.
Enterprise Shared Applications :
Responsible for B2B e-commerce platforms capturing over $300m in revenue and offering hundreds of features designed for customer ease of use and effective ordering operations to thousands of users.Manage the Web-to-Print online product configuration platform that creates and delivers press ready documents directly into plant operations. This system produces over 150k print ready files monthly with a product catalog of over 8k items.Lead the enterprise integrations environments Web Methods, BizTalk, EDI methods and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) including interface connections for SaaS providers such as Workday and SFDC.Direct the enterprise data analytics and reporting teams that include the Data Warehouse, Data Lake and Power BI environments.Manage legacy ERP business systems to minimize cost while servicing customers in preparation for their migration to the future enterprise technology stack (Oracle Fusion).Responsible for the Production Job Management system (PJM) which provides a variety of plant operation functions for the shop floor.Off - Shore Resource Management Services :
Lead P&L, Sales and Operations for Northern Lights (a Taylor-owned offshore resource company) with over 800 team members located in India, China and the Philippines. Occasional travel to those sites is an expectation.Provide guidance on new service offerings for Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Operations (BPO). ITO services include software development, system support, QA and load testing. BPO includes chat, call center, outbound selling, help desk and certain accounting and customer service functions.Provide guidance and oversight over the external selling activity for Northern Lights services to a growing third-party customer market. Regular meetings with customers are expected.Enterprise Transformation (Oracle Fusion and Future systems stack) :
Manage transport, payload extraction, translation, and testing tools to load legacy systems data into target Oracle Fusion environments.Lead system integrations for interim and future enterprise system stack.Advise on system architecture and master data management and account migration processes.Assist in the management of a collection of specialist vendors performing various analytical, design and technical functions for process, people and system configuration.Assist with administration of Oracle license provisioning, Oracle Cloud Incident Response and Oracle quarterly updates.Infrastructure, Security, and Vendor Management :
Responsible for centralized infrastructure, e-mail (over 12,000 accounts), storage (over 5 petabytes), data center (including hosting for over 2000 e-commerce sites), global network (over 15,000 devices across 7 countries), and end-user equipment procurement. This includes oversight into Taylor's journey to public Cloud computing (Azure), with a focus on security and spend controls.Responsible for enterprise information security operations including customer audits (200+ per year), vendor reviews and cyber security products including Crowd Strike.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and risk management practices. Including FISMA, SOC2, PCI, HI-TRUST and HIPPA.Provide oversight for corporate-wide software procurement, contract negotiations, and license administration including Microsoft products and development tools.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).Executive leadership experience in $1 billion or greater revenue organization.20+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years as the lead executive over all associated technology operations for a company or a major component of a company.Proven success managing enterprise architecture, data governance, system integration, and cloud-based ERP (Oracle preferred).Strong experience leading global offshore development and support teams.Strong background in e-commerce platforms, customer-facing applications, and an enterprise integration environment.Experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise procurement.Exceptional leadership, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.Ability to balance a hybrid environment within a decentralized business unit structure.Willingness to travel internationally.The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $275,000 - $375,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
