Attorney-Employment Law About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, business-savvy Employment Law Attorney to join a boutique California law firm that specializes in defending and advising employers across the state. This role is ideal for a litigator who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about helping businesses navigate and prevent employment law challenges.

You'll work directly with senior attorneys and clients, providing high-level legal counsel on complex employment matters including wage and hour disputes, class actions, PAGA claims, and compliance strategies. This is not a back-office role-you'll be front and center, shaping outcomes and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent California employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff cases, class actions, and PAGA lawsuits.
• Provide proactive legal counsel on compliance with California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and workplace policies.
• Conduct internal investigations and risk assessments to help clients mitigate exposure.
• Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies.
• Lead or support mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored legal strategies aligned with their business goals.
• Stay ahead of evolving California employment law trends, including New PAGA developments.
