Drips management experience required

EPIC charting experience required

Description :

This position is for a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit.

The unit is a general medical surgical and telemetry area as well as for orthopedic patients.

Patients may include total knee and hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.

Ratios are typically 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 6 at night, though night ratios can be 1 : 7 in rare circumstances.

The unit may have a higher patient ratio during certain shifts due to complexities associated with patient care.

Registered Nurses will be responsible for weekly assessments, vital checks, and lab work supported by care techs and other clinicians.

Floating may be required within the scope to meet facility needs, including potential rotation to other units.

Travelers must commit to work two out of three major holidays and have the option for either a 36 or a 48-hour work week.

Only candidates who are over 100 miles from the facility are eligible to apply.

The facility maintains a nicotine-free policy and candidates must comply fully.

The nursing team is highly interdisciplinary and includes various specialized support services.

Key responsibilities involve management of cardiac drips without titration, telemetry monitoring, and general patient care.

This position requires participation in the team approach for patient management, alongside specific competencies related to medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
